广东外语外贸大学法学院是国内国际化卓越法律人才和高级外交外事人才培养的重镇，其前身是1996年成立的国际法学系，2001年改为现名。 法学院现有法学（分国际经济法、民商法、知识产权法等方向）、外交学、国际政治3个本科专业，法学、政治学2个一级学科硕士点，1个法律硕士(JM)专业学位点，欧洲法律、欧洲政治与外交、俄罗斯国情研究3个博士培养方向。 法学院拥有一支以百千万人才工程国家级人才、教育部新世纪优秀人才、国务院政府特殊津贴专家、云山领军学者、云山杰出学者、省市“十大优秀中青年法学家”等为代表的高职称、高学历、高水平的师资队伍。现有师资队伍75人，其中专任教师63人；专任教师中，有教授30人、副教授19人，具有博士学位的教师34人，60%以上教师具有海外学习经历；法学教师大多数具有律师或仲裁员资格，他们有着丰富的法务实践经验。法学院还聘有多位全国著名的法学、外交学专家担任客座教授。 学院设有国际法学系、法律系、民商法学系、知识产权法系、外交学系、国际政治系和法律硕士教育中心。学校和学院共设有5个法学学科省级研究或培训基地：广东省地方立法研究评估与咨询服务基地、“走出去”战略下涉外法律研究服务中心、广州市绿色经济与环境能源法研究中心、中国-非洲法律研究中心（广州）和中国-非洲法律培训基地（广州）；共设有4个法学学科和国政外交学科校级研究基地：广东外语外贸大学土地法制研究院、国际问题研究所、区域一体化法治研究中心、中国信访法治与国家治理研究中心。学院设有6个院级研究机构：教育法制研究所、WTO法研究所、非政府组织研究所、欧盟法律与外交研究室、法律与经贸事务研究所、国际安全与战略研究中心。 法学院近年来获得了快速发展，法学专业于2010年获评为广东省特色专业，法学学科于2012年获评为广东省优势重点学科；国际关系学科于2012年获评为广东省特色重点学科。法学院于2012年获评为广东省综合改革试点单位和广东省实践教学示范中心，2014年获评为广东省卓越涉外法律人才培养基地，2016年获评为广东省人才培养模式创新试验区。 学院践行“明德尚行，学贯中西 ”的校训，培养“双高”（思想素质高、专业水平高）、“两强”（跨文化交际能力强、实践创新能力强），具有国际视野，通晓国际规则，能参与国际事务的国际化卓越法律人才和高级外交外事人才。法学院在长期的教学实践中，经过多年的探索和发展，将外国语言文化、国内外法律制度和国际交往规则三大专业板块有机结合，形成了“专业与外语深度融合”的国际化人才培养模式。 法学院现有在校本科生1200余人，法学双学位学生150余人，硕士生300余人，博士生10余人。法学院70%以上毕业生在跨国公司、国际知名律师事务所、外资企业及政府机构或者其他机构的外事部门工作。历届研究生和本科生就业率为99%以上。 About the School The School of Legal Studies of GDUFS specializes in cultivating multidisciplinary legal talents accomplished in foreign affairs. It was originally known as the Department of International Legal Studies founded in 1996，and then changed its name to the School of Legal Studies in 2001. Currently, the School offers education programs ranging from undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. For undergraduate program, there are three majors, namely, the study of law (International Economic Law, Civil Law & Commercial Law, Law of Intellectual Property), international politics, and diplomacy; for post-graduate program, there are two Category I disciplines master programs, namely, the Study of Law. and Politics. and one site of master degree for JM ; for doctoral program, there are three majors: European Law, Euro-politics & Diplomacy and Russian Language & Literature. The School is staffed by a[url=]competent[/url] faculty with high professional titles and excellent educational backgrounds. It holds many outstanding scholars, among whom there are candidates of the“New Century Talents Project”at state level, candidates of the“Program for New Century Excellent Talents”supported by the Ministry of Education, members enjoying the Government Special Allowance of the State Council, candidates of“Yunshan Distinguished Scholars”and“Yunshan Excellent Scholars”, and distinguished teachers of“Guangdong's Top Ten Young and Middle-aged Law Intellectuals”.The majority of them have obtained lawyer or arbitrator certificates with rich experience in legal practices. It has 75 teaching staff，and 60% of them have studied abroad. There are 63 full time teaching faculties, and 30 are professors,19 are associate professors, 34 secured doctoral degrees. Besides, the School invites [url=]renowned[/url] law experts and diplomats across in China as visiting professors to enhance its overall teaching and academic standard. The School consists of six departments (law, IPR, Civil Law & Commercial Law, international law, diplomacy, and international politics ) one education center for Master of Law, five research centers at provincial level (Center for Guangdong Public Law Research, Evaluation and Consultancy Service approved by Standing Committee of the People's Congress in Guangdong, Research Service Center of Foreign Law within the Framework of“Going Global”approved by Guangdong Law Society, Low-Carbon Economy and Environmental Energy Law Research Center，China-Africa Legal Research Center and China-Africa Legal Training Base); four University research centers (Research Center for Law and Property of GDUFS , Institute of International Studies, Center of Regional Integration of Law-based Governance and Center of National Petitions in the Forms of Letters & Visits and State Administration) and six school-level research centers (Institute of Education Legal System, Institute of WTO Regulations, Institute for NGOs, Center of EU Law & Diplomacy, Center of Law & Trade Affairs and Center of International Security & Strategy). In recent years, the School has developed rapidly, ranking top among its counterparts nationwide, and won the titles of“Guangdong Comprehensive Education Reform Pilot Site”(2012),“Guangdong Model Center of Practical Teaching”(2012), and“Guangdong Outstanding Law Talents Cultivation Center”(2014). And its Discipline of Law was ranked Provincial Prestigious Major and Competitive Course in 2010 and 2012 respectively, while the Discipline of International Relations was awarded as Provincial Key Discipline in 2012. Recently, the School has been awarded as Guangdong Excellent Foreign-related Legal Talents Training Base（2014）and Guangdong Pilot & Innovation Talents Training Zone (2016). The School upholds the motto of“Pursuit of Integrity. Practice and Cross-Cultural Learning”and defines as its mission on training of high-caliber foreign-affairs talents excelled in ethical cultivation, competent in their profession, strong in cross-cultural communication and hands-on creativity, and ready to engage in international business with global vision. The reason for its successful outcome is that the School, after years of practice and research in teaching, has combined the modules of foreign languages & culture, national & international legal Systems, and rules in international diplomacy, to form a talent-cultivation model characterized by“a good command of professional knowledge plus an edge in foreign languages proficiency”. Currently, there are about 1200 full-time undergraduate students, 150 students studying for a double major in law. 400 post-graduate students, and over 10 PhD candidates at the School. The graduation index and entry-level salary of this School's graduates rank top among its domestic counterparts. About 70% of them choose to work in multi-national corporations, well-known law firms, foreign-owned enterprises and foreign affairs offices at government departments or other organizations. More impressive is that its graduates in recent years enjoy a high employment rate of 99%.
